THE STORY

The HAUDILAR brand was created in 1976 by António Manuel Barros Luís and his wife with the opening of the first store in the city center of Montijo and a small factory with an area of 800 m2, with a view to satisfying growing consumer demand for custom-made kitchen furniture and closets. In 1985, a second 500m2 store was opened next to the existing one, dividing the commercial area into two separate areas for kitchens and closets. With the positive evolution of sales, in 2001 a new 3000 m2 factory was built on the outskirts of the city, equipped with the best technology at the time in terms of machinery and software, which is still in use today, with the necessary updates, and which employs more than 30 people. In 2011, a new store was opened, better located in one of Montijo’s main shopping areas. The HAUDILAR brand continues, and will continue, to evolve positively despite the market fluctuations and variables that have taken place over these five decades.
